A significant amount of money should be kept apart (50-60%) for issues such as this one. The first 10K protect won't be able to accomplish (first rate) dental care, but should already be working to get there.

The project could already buy part of the equipment needed to set up the first dental building. In the second or third doubling, the dental building should be ready and a local dentist can be hired to work in the building full time. 

With care the dentist should be taken in by the settlement so that he/she would live as one of us (a young dentist with the same ideals as us, in the case of Romania costs would be significantly lower). From that moment the building would be financed, no hire cost would be needed, energy would be financed trough solar panels and the only expenses would be dental materials such as alcohol for disinfection and amalgam for fillings.

Television can be important to retain a sense of connection to the outside world. Children may need the information input to optimally develop. Watching television can be a way to overcome a low point, or to rest. The way to stop watching television is to get to a point where you don't want to. Using sacrifice to stop doesn't work.

== Internet ==

Ideally internet would be provided by having computers that only do internet, and that use a central computer (cloud computing, internally). They would consist only of a screen, mouse/trackpad, keyboard, wifi antenna. They would be built with durability in mind. Durability could come from simplicity, using older technologies, and choosing good parts. 

Providing everybody with Ipads could be a good, easier alternative. It might be necessary to prevent people from recharging their Ipad all at the same time.

Only a small minority of people are going to need computers that can do more, and their computers need to be updated so they can learn from new technology. Money needs to be set apart to accommodate for this.

== Being bold when it comes to automation in the Rbe10K Project ==
Say 50 people were to share 1 washing machine and 1 wash dryer (think about how much you use your machine). They buy the best: 2400 total. That's 48,- per person for not having to handwash clothes for forty years! Think of everything they can do with that time (and think about how the human brain is always creating, think about the natural potential of the brain in general).
Now energy. A very good washing machine uses about 750 W [1] a good dryer about 150 W [2]. Say 1000 W. 400,- worth of solar panels gives you about 200W in good locations (south of Romania, Mid/South of Spain), to 120W in okay locations (north of Romania). Take 100 W. That's 4000 worth of solar panels. Divide by 50 = 80.
So a total of 128,- per person (88,- in sunnier locations) gives you the luxury of not having to wash, or hang clothes.. for 40 years! All that time you can engage in HIGHER things. And EVERYBODY will profit from that!

The country is relatively cheap. If we can settle in an area that has glassfiber, internet would cost virtually nothing. Building the solar tower might very well be 10-30% cheaper because of lower labor costs. Romania has the fastest internet network of Europe.

== Mountain bikes ==

Mountainbiking, in a wide, natural environment, is fun and healthy. You have an excellent mountainbike for 2000 EUR. If we would buy one bike for every 10 people, that would take 200 EUR out of a budget of 7,000. I think that's totally worth it. At the least you would get to ride a solid 1,5 hour a day (but probably you wouldn't have to worry too much about that)!
Bikes in this price range are wonderful to ride and don't break down. There are bikes with suspension in the center of the bike, and without, and we could buy some of both.
I understand it may not be fair to those who don't like mountainbiking, but come on! This is simply too good an opportunity to ignore.
Of course bikes are very versatile and can be used for more than recreation!

Not only could we win in cost efficiency (shared kitchen, shared television room) but also in the way people interact and collaborate (shared ateliers, shared laboratories, shared living spaces). Of course there also need to be spaces for people to isolate themselves in. All in all design would be vastly different from regular design, and would be a major topic for us to think about.

Child abuse is widespread, and the fear and hatred this instills in people will give rise to extreme protection and nervousness about the subject. This might damage the potential of child education. We should love our children and not let negative past experiences come in our way. Safety should come from '''rational''' measures. For instance individuals behaving in a suspicious manner (making weird sexual remarks, appearing socially maladjusted, appearing unhealthy) should be noted and discussed, possibly preventing them from spending time with children, or allowing them to spend time with children in a controlled manner, giving them a chance to heal, and other people a chance to better understand and map his condition.

Obesity is sometimes associated with taking in to much energy rich foods, such as fatty hamburgers or sweet drinks and candy. The other way of looking at it is to associate it with lack of exercise, physical as well as mental. It might be better to focus attention on increasing exercise instead of decreasing intake, because the community will be more productive. For example, heavy physical exercise (such as mountain biking for four hours straight) has great benefits for physical and mental health, but such activity might become impossible when restricting caloric intake. Children are well known for craving sweet foods. Depriving them of these energy rich substances might hinder their development, as their growing brains require large amounts of energy.

A second reason not to restrict rich foods is that there are no profit incentives to deal with.

If the person in charge of the money thinks A is the best decision, and the majority of the participants think B is the best decision, the person in charge of the money should choose A. Projecting an aura of consistency or ethical reliability shouldn't be a concern. What matters is taking rational decisions. It's hard to predict how much energy consumption we could save, but it's clear this is an important topic. If we use anywhere near as much as normal household, the project is not feasible.

Beamers require extra (darkened) space, but they make up for it over forty years because their replacement cost is a factor 100 lower (3 small television per person = 1500 EUR, Beamer = 15 EUR, space for beamer = approx 1000 EUR but possibly much cheaper because of earthship use).

Ipads use incredibly little energy, but they are expensive to purchase. Also they are not going to last 40 years, replacing them at least four times = 4 x 400 EUR. Compared to laptops they save about 40 EUR in energy over that period so that's negligible. We should discern between access to regular internet and computers that can do other tasks. Money should be set aside to provide technical people with up to date computers. Most people already own either an ipad or a laptop, so a rule could be made that people use only those, and bring their own. Then it should be calculated what it costs to provide internet over 40 years. Computers should be as sturdy as possible, with good and sturdy software (Linux). Possibly lower capacity desktops could be under 40 Watts as well. Asus EEE netbook pc's will fail extremely quickly. Apple computers are known to be durable.

Ideally internet would be provided by having computers that only do internet, and that use a central computer. They would consist of a screen, mouse/trackpad, keyboard, wifi antenna.
